Cost of Poverty Experience

Did you know that 1 in 6 children in the Ocoee Region live in poverty?

An immersive poverty simulation, a Cost of Poverty Experience gives participants a glimpse into the lives of low-income individuals and families living in our community. This simulation is a great professional development opportunity for your business, school, or church.

This experience allows participants to live out the REAL stories of individuals who are facing poverty. Broken into four thirty-minute "weeks", participants navigate the complexity of their daily struggle to access items for basic survival, care for family members, find work, and seek help, among other resources.

"Being part of a COPE training helped me realize that there is a larger, more complex picture to poverty and gave me deeper sense of compassion for my neighbors in need."
- COPE participant
