AmeriCorps VISTA

Make a lasting impact while building skills that matter. Serving with AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America) allows you to help fight poverty by strengthening a nonprofit’s capacity to create meaningful, long-term change.

Through hands-on experience in fundraising, grant writing, volunteer recruitment, and more, you’ll develop valuable leadership and professional skills, while supporting work that truly makes a difference. A year of service with AmeriCorps Ocoee can help prepare you for careers in public service, nonprofit leadership, education, and the private sector.

Serve your community. Build professional skills.
Strengthen local nonprofits. Fight poverty through service.

Learn and grow while making a difference in the lives of others. Individuals who serve with AmeriCorps build new skillsets that they can take with them wherever they go, while giving back to communities across the country. Besides the opportunities provided for networking at your location of service, AmeriCorps Ocoee also provides a monthly cohort meeting to deep dive on a new skill and learn from community experts.
