Research shows that reading to young children - from as early as 6 months through age 5 - does more than create meaningful bonding moments between parents and children. It helps build vocabulary, spark curiosity, strengthen memory, develop listening skills, and lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning and academic success.
That’s why we’re proud to offer programs like Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Each month, children ages 0–5 living in Bradley County can receive a high-quality, age-appropriate book mailed directly to their home at no cost to their family.
Our goal is simple: to place as many books as possible into the hands of eligible children across Bradley County. Enrollment is easy - families only need a Bradley County address and a child under the age of five. Parents often share how exciting it is for their child to receive a new book in the mail each month, making this program a joyful and free way to help build a strong foundation for future success.
