FUNDING ALLOCATION | IMPACT PANELS

Funding Allocation (Impact) Panel Members are dedicated United Way donors who give their time and expertise to help ensure donor dollars are invested wisely and strategically. By serving on a panel, you play a vital role in directing funds to trusted, vetted agencies addressing our community’s most critical needs.

This experience offers a unique, behind-the-scenes look at United Way’s impact by providing insight into how community needs are assessed, how partner agencies are evaluated, and how donor generosity is transformed into real, measurable change.

What participation looks like:

  • Attend a brief orientation and training

  • Serve alongside 6–7 fellow panel members

  • Review funding applications from local partner agencies

  • Evaluate 4–5 agency applications through our grant management system

  • Participate in two panel meetings (held between March and April)

  • Commit approximately 5–6 hours total

  • Because this is a donor-driven process, Funding Allocation Panel members are required to be current donors to United Way of the Ocoee Region.

Serving as an Allocation Panel Member is a meaningful way to deepen your connection to United Way, strengthen our community, and help shape the impact of every donor dollar.
